Rodriguez graduated with a Bachelor of Sports Business, Sales and Business Administration at Stetson University.

Gerardo Rodriguez played football at the Stetson University , lettering for gour years under Coach Roger Hughes from 2016 to 2020. His coaching career began as A Head Coach at Legacy Football in 2022. Rodriguez has led Legacy Football to play its first ever fall season in 2025.

Rodriguez has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at the college level.
